New Clearshield Low-M® (low-maintenance) glass reduces by 50% on average frequency for cleaning glass

Dirty glass is problem glass! It is low in visibility, high in maintenance and poor in appearance. For architectural glass in commercial and residential buildings, dirty glass means reduced light transmission and increased frequency of maintenance with higher energy costs and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

A not-so-satisfactory solution to dirty glass is to simply tolerate it. Another solution is to carry out frequent cleaning, but this generates high energy requirements for manpower and operation and maintenance of access equipment. It also creates higher consumption of water and cleaning chemicals.

Now there is a much better, energy-saving solution – Ritec’s ClearShield® System, which upgrades ordinary, high-maintenance glass to ClearShield Low-M® (Low-Maintenance) Glass – before, during or after construction. This new, high-performance glass has durable surface protection that is “non-stick” and therefore much easier to clean and keep clean. ClearShield Low-M® Glass is the first technology that reduces by 50% on average the frequency for cleaning glass, and associated costs in time, energy and money.

A new weapon in the 'battle of the bugs' - the first re-treatable 'anti-microbia' glass

With hygiene always a top priority in hospitals, food catering and other public areas, Ritec introduces as part of the award-winning ClearShield® System, an innovative way of making ordinary glass „anti-microbial‟ in performance.

The ClearShield® System upgrades any ordinary glass, new or old, into ClearShield Anti-Microbial GlassTM with durable “non-stick”, easy-clean surface protection. This high-performance glass resists adhesion and growth of bacteria, viruses and fungi.

ClearShield Anti-Microbial GlassTM is an industry-first in helping to reduce or eliminate the risks of glass becoming a breeding ground for infectious diseases that can spread. It is designed for interior glass and ceramic surfaces where cleanliness and hygiene are of paramount importance.

ClearShield Anti-Microbial GlassTM meets direct food contact test requirements of the EU and the USA Food & Drug Administration (FDA). It also withstands the high temperature requirements of glass ovenware and oven doors.
